The evening where even the magician learns something new.

Half show, half workshop: always wanted a peek behind the scenes at Black Table? Then Magischer Mittwoch is your evening — a secret regulars’ gathering with magic, 60 minutes of it without a safety net.

This is where forgotten gems, mad ideas and brand-new experiments land on the table — some brilliant, some utterly bonkers. With a few of them, even Christian doesn’t yet know where they belong. So you’re seeing the magic before it’s finished: „Will the trick make it into the new programme — or straight into the bin?” There’s laughter, improvising, testing and plenty of jaw-dropping. Raw, honest and guaranteed different from the regular shows.

The evening has its own rhythm: first you arrive and enjoy an opening Kölsch — then Magischer Mittwoch with new experiments, forgotten gems and no end of laughs — followed by a relaxed social with Kölsch from the Pittermännchen for as long as it keeps flowing, plus nibbles (until around 9.45 pm). There’s a choice of two Brotzeit (hearty snack platter) options: a fresh Brezel (pretzel) with Obazda, dripping, butter, Cornichons and Cabanossi — or the lighter option with Käseecken (cheese wedges).

This evening deliberately has no mixed drinks: Magischer Mittwoch is meant to stay easy-going, cosy and wonderfully honest. Soft drinks are of course available too.
