Magic and Spanish tapas at the black table, with the wines to match. Just two evenings in September 2027.

An evening like a Spanish summer night, only with more secrets. Candlelight, Rioja in the glass, and on the table jamón, albóndigas and gambas still sizzling in their oil. And between the plates, something happens that no tapas bar in Spain has ever seen: cards travel, coins vanish, thoughts are read. For two sets of 45 minutes Christian Jedinat performs at the black table, so close you can almost touch the trick.

In September it is harvest time in Spain's vineyards. We celebrate it with two evenings where the small plates take the lead. There won't be more.

The evening: on arrival a glass of cava, marinated olives, Marcona almonds and pan con tomate. First set of magic. Then the tapas come to your seat: jamón ibérico and serrano, sliced paper-thin by hand, aged Manchego with membrillo, home-made albóndigas in tomato and sherry sauce, gambas al ajillo sizzling in garlic oil, pimientos de Padrón (some are hot, most are not) and tortilla española. Second set of magic. To finish, crema catalana caramelised at the table and a glass of Pedro Ximénez.

The wines: cava on arrival, a fresh Albariño from the Rías Baixas with the gambas and pimientos, a Rioja Crianza with the ham, cheese and albóndigas, and sweet Pedro Ximénez with the crema catalana. Non-alcoholic drinks are of course available.

Vegetarian? Just let us know when booking. All tapas, the dessert, the wine pairing and all drinks of the evening are included in the ticket price. Row 1 €149 · rows 2 and 3 €139 · rows 4 and 5 €129.

Members of the Black Table Club whose names are on our honour board are invited: one special evening a year on the house, with a reserved seat in row 1 or 2. Up to two companions pay half price.
